First Week in Austin

I survived my first week as an Austinite! It has been a fun, busy, crazy week but so far, I love it here!

We've eaten so much good food. The mexican food in Austin has already changed my life. We found a super cute, family owned restaurant close by with $3 margaritas.

The people here in Austin are really nice - like so nice that I'm convinced they must be distracting me while someone steals my wallet. But they aren't, they are just nice. 

I've been pinning home decor inspiration like crazy over here. We had to get rid of a lot of our stuff before we left Chicago so it's exciting to have a fresh start. It feels like a good time to reinvent our style and invest in some grown-up furniture. I found the most amazing furniture store in North Austin called Uptown Modern. It's all mid-century modern vintage pieces. I want to live there. Next week is the Austin City Wide Garage Sale and I cannot wait to see what that's like.

Today, it's a rainy Sunday so we're off to do some shopping!

Life with no furniture looks very uncomfortable! Billy seems to be doing OK with it though! Hope all your "stuff" arrives soon.
