Over the weekend I made this 12x12" layout. I found a sketch on the Scraptastic blog and thought it would work well with these photos I took on a walk Memorial Day weekend.
I wanted to use this Amy Tangerine skyline paper but I also wanted the page to be super colorful. I decided to cut out a row of the buildings and stuck it along the bottom of the red paper.
I stuck a small piece of thick chipboard to the back of my photo to help pop them up a little bit. It raised the photos just enough so I could easily slide in different paper scraps behind them.
I used popdots to raise the title off of the paper. The letters are small and they were getting a little lost in all the layering. Raising them off the page gave them just enough dimension and made it easier to read.
Then, I went a little crazy with the arrows. :)
My favorite part is the skyline. We live in Chicago so it really went well with the theme of the page.
Much to my surprise, Miss Amy Tangerine herself pinned my page! I was very excited to see my fave popup on Pinterest!
