I have 2 projects to share today that I created for the Simple Scrapper Design Team. I had a lot of fun making these layouts. My favorite part of the whole process is mixing and matching patterned paper.
Obsessed - Here's my first layout. I documented a few of my obsessions right now. The Story Starter theme this month is True Loves. I am always happy to capture a list of things I'm loving right now because they change pretty quickly. It was hard to figure out what picture to use, so I just used a photo of my favorite winter hat.
Oh yeah, and I spelled my title wrong while I was stamping it! That was the very last step in my process so there was no way I was going to start over, or move things around. I decided to just go with it. I think it adds a little touch to it with the cross out. (Maybe I'm just telling myself that.)
I used pop dots to raise the photo and my top 10 list a bit since that was the main focus of my layout. I had fun mixing some leftover paper strips in different patterns and colors.
Supplies Used: Dear Lizzy Paper, Project Life 'Sunshine' Kit 3x4" Card, Amy Tangerine Stamps, Colorbox Gold Ink, Various Papers from Studio Calico (Kits & Collections), Becky Higgins, Crate Paper, American Crafts Medium Slick Writer
Gordough's - Here is my second layout. I've never seen donuts quite like these so I knew I wanted to document it. I worked with the red background in my photo to choose the rest of my supplies. I'm loving yellow right now, and thought the red and yellow really popped off the black and white patterns.
The "!" card is from a Studio Calico PL kit and I think it's perfect for this. Also, those gold letter stickers are my favorite. They're big so the title takes up almost the entire 12" space. The papers are busy so I wanted to choose letters that were substantial enough to stand out and were easy to read.
Supplies Used: Studio Calico Patterned Paper (Printshop & Thataway), American Crafts Gold Thickers (sold out here), Project Life Sunshine Kit, Studio Calico Project Life Kit, Fancy Pants Thick Stripe Paper, Crate Paper Thin Stripe Paper, Amy Tangerine Phrase Stamp, Freckled Fawn Wood Veneer
