The last week of the year! Christmas week! I can't believe I stuck with this project the whole entire year. I am so happy with it. I learned a lot about paper crafting and scrapbooking by doing these albums (I have 2 for 2012). SO fun. I can't wait to start fresh in 2013 with some new ideas.
Above is a photo of the left side. Basic.
I used a piece of zig-zag paper to write a little recap of our week. I decided to just go with the zig-zag as my base line and really like how it turned out. It sort of adds a little more interest to the text.
I added an Instagram photo of my new haircut and used my super awesome Dear Lizzy date stamp at the bottom. I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of that date stamp in my 2013 album. It's seriously the perfect stamp.
I added an insert this week to hold our photos from Christmas Day. It's mostly pictures of my nephews. I love the birds eye picture of Billy playing legos with Brendan. They seriously played Legos for about an hour.
The tree sticker is a clearance sale score from Paper Source. There was a huge roll of these stickers that I was able to buy for $5. The store manager just really wanted to get rid of them. I plan to use them on our Christmas card envelopes next year. I added a little enamel dot on the top of the tree. The tab was white but I decided to cover it in striped washi tape to add some color.
And the right side. A few more photos from Christmas morning at our house at the top. I printed out this blog graphic mentioning our road trip to New Orleans. We left at 4:00 in the morning on New Years Eve. I decided to just end my 2012 album with this graphic and I'll put all our photos from 12/31/12 into my 2013 album. So the first week of my 2013 album will be 12/31/12 to 01/06/13. It just makes more sense to me to have all the NOLA pictures together.
I love this picture. I had everything all printed out and ready to put in the pockets and then this happened. I don't even remember now what photo I had planned for this pocket. Billy's best friend is visiting from Seattle. They don't get to see each other too often so I wanted to have this in the album for sure.
And last but not least a reciept from our Christmas morning brunch. Billy and I had waffles on Christmas morning. I went to Trader Joe's for the essentials.
---Like I said, I'm really happy with my album. But I think Billy is too. I over heard him showing them to his friend. It went a little something like this, "Dude, come look at our life album."
