Week 4... Hooray! I love spending my Sundays putting these pages together.
For the past 2 weeks, I've chosen a color to try and coordinate all my pockets. This week, I tried to use that pink triangle paper as my starting point. It was the back side of the paper I used in last week's spread and didn't want it to go to waste. My other goal was just to use stuff. For example, those glitter brads next to the date? I have about 30 of them so I put 3 in a row.
Big excitement this week, Becky Higgins tweeted my Photo of the Day idea!
I have a bottle of Mister Huey's color mist and am never quite sure how to use it. I decided to try and mist some white Amy Tangerine foam thickers to make them pop off the photo. I put them on a piece of wax paper, sprayed them and let the mist dry for a bit. It took a while to dry because I think there's a film on the letters but I really like how it turned out! I wrote the 'finally' directly onto the photo.
I was going to include my chili recipe this week but decided to just try and make it a 'photo recipe' instead. (I just made that up, no idea what to call it.) I have pictures of the main ingredients and the time it takes to cook. I think I like this more than writing out the ingredients! This photo is just 4 2x3" image put together in Photoshop.
Here's the second half of the week.
It was cold this week! I used one of my badges from Hello Forever to cover the cloud icon from the iPhone weather screenshot. I bought these flair badges for December Daily but it never snowed!
I printed the blue striped card from the Seafoam Digital Kit on cardstock. I'm so happy I went with the digital version. Also, did you know that with a decent pair of scissors you can cut wood veneer?? I am not a fan of the 'cupid arrows' with the diagonal tails at the end, so I just tried cutting them off...and it worked! I can now use the rest of the arrows from my Freckled Fawn set. This makes me excited.
I wanted to include my green smoothie since I'm kind of on a kick right now, but didn't want to just have a picture of the blended smoothie. I mean, honestly, it looks digusting. So, I took a picture of it pre-blended and then just had a small mention in the next photo down. The arrows kind of tell you what it is that's in the blender and where you should look next... I am not sure if this makes sense but it's a good alternative to the side-by-side photos.
My printer started to run out of ink when it was printing this photo of my pizza. I was going to add a flap with the 'I LOVE' stamp in the top left, but since there was some color variation, I added a paper scrap to the right side and stamped right onto the pizza. I actually like this better because I was able to include the ingredients on my pizza. Flexibility is the best part about this project!
The end. I'm obsessed.
