My desk is actually our kitchen counter. I try my very best to clean up after myself after each crafting session. I have my supplies stored by 'type' so that helps. If I need washi tape, I just take my washi tape box off my shelf. It makes cleaning up so much easier. It is also great because I don't feel like it's overwhelming to 'set-up' when I want to make something. I can just grab what I need and go. You can see a few of my boxes in the 3rd picture.
Other things, I love the Seafoam Digital Project Life kit. It's pretty great to be able to just print what I want to use, whenever I want to use it. I picked a few basic cards (2nd picture) and printed them on white cardstock. I will for sure get a few of the new editions this way when they start becoming available.
Wood veneer letters – can't get enough of them. I store them in a plastic snack baggie and it works perfect for me.
Luckily, Billy doesn't mind the mess I make almost everyday. In our condo, our living room/dining room/tv room are basically the same thing. So when I'm at the kitchen counter Billy is either in the office 10 feet away or on the couch 10 feet the other way. I've learned to become very efficient so that when I have 45 minutes of free time, I'm not spending 20 minutes setting up and 20 minutes cleaning up. Having different boxes works very well for me.
We've already discussed that in our next apartment, I'll hopefully have my own little space to make stuff.
Tomorrow, I'll share Week 4 of my Proejct Life!
