I knew I wanted to make a mini-book for our trip to New Orleans even before we went there. I love mini-books and hope to grow a good size collection. I really like the 4x6" size because there's room to play with but it's small enough to store a bunch of them.
To make this book, I bought the January main kit from Gossamer Blue. I loved the kit and thought the vintage & wood grain details would mesh well with my photos and reflected the city of New Orleans. I am so glad I worked with a kit because it kept all my pages cohesive. I only added a few things from my stash; Freckled Fawn Arrow Wood Chips, Confeitti Bits & Arrow Paper Clips. I also used a page that I ripped out from an old book to add some contrast when I was layering.
I tried to keep the photos as the main event and had a lot of fun putting this together over the weekend!
